Fire Prevention, Life Safety & Hazardous Materials
The Greengate Consult Fire Prevention Unit provides fire and life safety and hazardous materials inspection services for building construction, annual building inspection, and hazardous materials regulation.
The Fire Prevention Division provides comprehensive plan reviews for land development, new building construction, interior tenant improvement projects, fire suppression, and fire alarm systems. Periodic construction inspections ensure completed projects conform to state and local fire safety regulations.
For existing commercial buildings, an annual inspection program is delivered through prevention staff and fire station personnel. The Hazardous Materials Section provides plan reviews and inspections for hazardous material system installations, modifications, and closures.
Causes of fires can be eliminated by critical identification of fire risks in a systematic way, and evaluating them based on their impact and existing fire protection measures. Greengate Solution’s Fire Safety Audit / Fire Risk Assessment is a structured and systematic examination of the workplace in order to identify hazards from fire.
Greengate Consult’s Fire Safety Audit is aligned with ISO 19011 (guidelines for auditing adapted for fire safety auditing), and in conformity with the International Fire Safety Audits standard AS4655.
The AS4655 Standard outlines the process and framework for audits, setting out minimum requirements for the structured auditing of fire safety measures in a facility against nominated audit criteria, including life safety, general auditing principles, program management, audit team competence, and reporting.
